January 1st 2021: A New Opportunity to Read Through Your Bible

 1-1-21 (Friday):

Day 1:   Philippians, chs. 1-4, yes, the whole 'book'. I decided to start here after listening to a sermon by the late Ronald Dart on Youtube, titled, "The Bread of Affliction'. He quoted Phil 3:4-11 so I thought I'd read the entire book and quote most of the vs read in the sermon by Ron Dart which he delivered in early 1991.

Phil. 3:7-11 (ESV):

7.   But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ.

8.   Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake, I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ

9.   and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith

10. that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,

11. that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead.

Powerful words!

Something to note: Compare the following scriptures: 1 Cor. 11:1 & Phil. 3:17 & 4:9.

Together, let us read and study ALL of God's Word, the Holy BIBLE, throughout  2021.

Yes, every day! Let us see if we can read the entire OT once and the NT twice.
